Accessibility Statement
Grand Canyon Journeys is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone planning a Grand Canyon or Sedona journey deserves an easy, welcoming online experience, and we are committed to continually improving the usability and accessibility of this site.
Our standard
We are working toward conformance with the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines organize accessible design around four principles — content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust — and they are the widely recognized technical benchmark for accessible websites.
What we have done
Recent and ongoing improvements to this site include:
- Clear keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- A “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Semantic page structure with proper headings and landmark regions.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Accessible names for buttons, links, icons, and the navigation menu.
- Color contrast reviewed against WCAG AA guidance.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences, and support for browser zoom and text resizing.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing practice rather than a one-time task. We review new and existing pages over time and test our work with manual keyboard and code-level checks, and we plan to expand this to include automated tools and screen-reader testing. As we add content and features, we work to hold them to the same standard.
Third-party services
Some parts of the booking experience are provided through third-party services, including our online reservation system. While we carefully select the services we use, we do not control every aspect of their accessibility. If you encounter a barrier while booking, please contact us and we will personally assist you with your reservation.
Contact us about accessibility
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of this website, or if you need information or assistance, please contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to provide the information, service, or booking assistance you need through an accessible alternative.
