DETAILS

Standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon for sunset, you can’t help but feel a sense of wonder and humility. The mood  is nothing short of magical as the canyon transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors—deep oranges, fiery reds, and soft purples illuminate its depths.

This unforgettable full-day journey commences just before noon at your hotel. As you leave Sedona, you'll wind your way into Oak Creek Canyon, a marvel of towering cliffs framing the tranquil waters of Oak Creek.

Your adventure will continue with a scenic drive through the Painted Desert with breathtaking views of the vertical cliffs of the little Colorado River Gorge, where vibrant hues of red, orange, and purple create a mesmerizing landscape.

As you arrive at the Grand Canyon, prepare to be captivated by the colorful afternoon light of the canyon. You’ll have the chance to explore multiple overlooks, each offering a different vantage point of the canyon's stunningly lit rock formations.

For a serene experience, take a leisurely walk along the Trail of Time towards sunset time. This tranquil stroll is the perfect way to reflect on the beauty surrounding you as the sun begins its descent.

After, indulge in a romantic gourmet dinner at the historic El Tovar Lodge where dignitaries like Teddy Roosevelt, Albert Einstein and Paul McCartney have dined.

And at the end of an afternoon and evening of awe-inspiring sights, culinary delights, and cherished memories, we will offer the opportunity for stargazing over the Grand Canyon (weather allowing) and finally return you back to your hotel under a sparkling canopy of stars.

THINGS TO KNOW

  • The Grand Canyon´s south rim is at 7000 feet. Know the weather and dress in layers - it can get cold quickly at sunset.

  • Bring sun protection - hats, sunglasses, sunscreen. We have rain ponchos for you just in case.

  • Drink plenty of water to avoid a dehydration headache. We provide a whole cooler full of water and gatorade.
