DETAILS

Get ready for a luxury private tour that features the stunning variety of landscapes to be found in Northern Arizona -

from the famous Red Rocks to lush pine forests,

from volcanoes and lava fields to the Painted Desert and the

vast gorge of the Grand Canyon.

This tour begins with a scenic journey through Oak Creek Canyon as we follow a murmuring creek through majestic red rock cliffs to the top of the pine-studded Colorado Plateau. Marvel at an ancient, 12600-foot volcano towering over the meadow at Sunset Crater National Monument. Enter a striking landscape shaped by fire and time and trace the steps of the Apollo astronauts on a short walk through the Bonito lava field.

Then, descend through a beautiful Ponderosa forest to the open desert, at whose edge is perched the ancient ruin of Wupatki National Monument - an extraordinary collection of thousand-year-old pueblos. Nestled within this rocky landscape, these red sandstone dwellings stand as a testament to the ingenuity and resilience of the people who once called this place home. Explore multi-story structures, ceremonial sites, and a unique ball court—one of the northernmost examples of Mesoamerican influence.

As we reach the Painted Desert and the modern Navajo Nation, historic Cameron Trading Post will be the next stop for a delicious lunch and the opportunity for some tribal artwork souvenir shopping.

After lunch, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World awaits at the nearby Grand Canyon National Park. From our favorite overlooks, gaze at a geologic picturebook encompassing nearly 2 billion years - from the rim of the Canyon down to the mighty Colorado river 5000 feet below.

Learn about the fascinating geology, the history and the flora and fauna of the Grand Canyon as we make our way to the western end of the park, and finally return you home at the end of a day full of fantastic impressions.
